Missouri S&T Eclipse Day

A solar eclipse of the sun will cut across the U.S. on Aug. 21, 2017. At S&T, the near-total eclipse will peak at 1:15 pm, when the moon obscures 99.8 percent of the sun. Join your fellow classmates and colleagues to witness this once-in-a-lifetime event on the Havener Center lawn on campus. The last total solar eclipse in Missouri was in 1869, almost 150 years ago!

Join us on Havener Center Lawn (11 a.m. - 3 p.m.)

11:47 a.m. – moon begins crossing the sun
1:15 p.m. – maximum eclipse begins (99.8 percent of the sun obscured)
2:43 p.m. – solar eclipse ends
